What company name can I use?

Subject to restrictions regarding a list of sensitive words, Companies House will allow you to use any name you choose for your company, provided there is no danger of your company being confused with another company that is already on the Register.

If you choose a name that is the same or very similar to that of an existing company, Companies House will not allow the registration. For a list of words that can only be used in the name of your company, if you meet the prescribed criteria, please see the sensitive words list.
